Jim Lawrence
Senior Pastor
Pastor Jim Lawrence was born in Pasadena, California, in August 1970.
Jim is married to Stephanie, his wife of over 30 years, and they have four children and seven grandchildren.
Jim has been the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Norman for over 20 years and studied at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Diamond Bar, California, before entering the ministry.
Jim is a Bi-Vocational pastor and has built and remodeled many homes throughout Norman and the greater Oklahoma City area over the last 30 years.
Jim was the Norman police chaplain from 2007 to 2017. He holds certificates of training and completion in CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) and is also a certified mediator.
But his greatest passion is teaching the word of God verse by verse every week to the congregation at Calvary Chapel of Norman.
"My greatest accomplishment in this life is personally knowing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and then secondly, the family that God has given to me in my personal life, and in the ministry that God has allowed me to serve in. Clifton Touchstone
Assistant Pastor
Clifton has been the Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel for the past 20 plus years. Clifton is also Bi-vocational and teaches at Moore-Norman Vo Tech. He has had the opportunity to minister to the congregation here at Calvary and to his students for over 2 decades now. Clifton is married to Amy the love of his life and they have 4 children and 1 grandchild.
Michael Swanson
Youth Pastor
Michael and Rebecca Swanson have been leading the youth group for over 10 years. They have been a part of Calvary Chapel fellowship since 2013. Their passion is for youth to know and love the Word of God and to enter adulthood with a Biblical worldview.
Michael and Rebecca were married in Norman in 1999. They have raised three children and have been involved in running their various homeschool athletic programs.
Michael graduated from Purcell High School, in 1989. He received a Bachelor's degree from OU in 1995. He runs his own business as a commercial general contractor. He also heads the “Dog and a Prayer” outreach for OU home games.
Rebecca came from a large family and graduated from Edmond Memorial in 1992. She worked at AT&T Wireless until marrying Michael in 1999.
Michael and Rebecca were married in Norman in 1999. They have raised three children and have been involved in running their various homeschool athletic programs.
